Leader Excursions

Leader Excursions is a small, private tour company owned by Kerry Wrishko based out of Leader, Saskatchewan.  Leader Excursions offersguided tours to more than 40 attractions within an hour’s drive of Leader. Kerry, who has been a resident of the area for 16 years, has been very active both as a professional and as a community volunteer. He is very familiar with both the cultural and natural history of the area.

Kerry offers guided tours of varying lengths, depending on client interests. While leading tours, Kerry provides an ongoing dialogue about the history and culture of the region. Kerry knows just about every road and trail, and  story there is to tell. Along the way, Kerry also has a few jokes to share!

Kerry has an excellent working relationship with local landowners, so he can take you to places that you would not be able to access on your own.

Costs for Leader Excursions

Prices include all necessary admission costs, tipping fees as well as any other charges associated with your tour. Prices are based on the tour starting and finishing in Leader or at Mammy's Place.

1. Step-on Tour Guide: Kerry will join you in your vehicle as the guide. Fee: $20 - $45/hr (cost will be calculated based on the types of attractions or activities chosen).  For groups of six or more, fees will be assessed on a per-person charge.
2. Guide and Transportation: For groups of five or less, Leader Excursions will provide a vehicle at $0.35/km. For groups larger than five, Leader Excursions will make the necessary arrangements and provide a tour fee quote.

Note: Assistance with meals can also be supplied upon request.

Hours of Operation

Tours are available between May 1 and September 15, although certain wildlife interest tours may be taken at other times. Most tours are offered between 9:00 am and 7:00 pm.  A premium rate may apply to tours outside of these hours and dates.
